广州市动物园唐代砖室墓M1的发掘

The Excavation of the Brick-chamber Tomb M1 of the Tang Dynasty at the Guangzhou Zoo

一、地理位置与发掘经过广州动物园位于广州市先烈中路以南、环市路以北,地处广州古城区东北郊,距广州古城中心(今北京路、中山四路一带)约4公里(图一)。这一带为低矮山岗起伏相连地貌,属广州市古墓葬重点埋藏区。1956年以来,为配合广州市动物园各场馆建设,文物考古部门进行了多次勘探与发掘,清理汉代至明清时期墓葬40余座。

In July 2012,Guangzhou Municipal Institute of Cultural Heritage and Archaeology excavated a tomb(M1)at the Guangzhou Zoo.This was a brick multi-chamber tomb in rectangular plan with vaulted ceiling,from which green-glazed porcelain bowls,pots,cups,pottery zodiac animal figurines and other artifacts were unearthed.This is the first time for the zodiac animal figurines to be archaeologically found in Guangzhou.According to the tomb structure,the tomb bricks and the grave goods,M1 is dated into the early Tang Dynasty.The excavation of this tomb provides important materials for the studies on the funeral customs of the Guangzhou area in the Tang Dynasty and the distribution area and evolution of the zodiac animal figurines.
