The matchmaker in Wang shi-fu's Romance of the Western Chamber is frank, honest, witty and eloquently fighting against the feudal ethics bravely, and has a right and wrong standard of the oppressed and enslaved people and a sense of justice from this standard. In her body ,there are modern women's bold pursuit of love personality and natural nature, she is frank and sincere, kind, smart and brave, this article tries to analyze the matchmaker image in the complex relationship between the characters and dramatic conflict.
