多模态话语分析视角下的影视字幕翻译——以美剧《生活大爆炸》第十季为例

Subtitling Translation from the Perspective of Multimodal Discourse Analysis A Case Study of the Tenth Season of the American TV Series The Big Bang Theory

影视剧语篇是兼具文字、声音、图像等多种符号系统的多模态语篇,传统字幕翻译的研究大多还停留在文字这一单一模态上面,忽视了影视剧语篇的多模态特点。本文拟以张德禄的多模态话语分析框架为理论指导,从文化、语境、内容和表达四个层面分别对美剧《生活大爆炸》第十季的字幕翻译文本进行研究,探寻译者是如何综合考虑各模态之间的关系来进行该剧的字幕翻译。

The film text is a multimodal text featuring multiple symbolic systems like text, sound and image …Traditionally, most subtitle translation studies give a lot of focus on the single mode of text, ignoring its multimodal features. Under the guidance of Zhang Delu's multimodal discourse analysis framework, this paper studies the subtitle translation of the tenth season of the The Big Bang Theory from four aspects culture, context, content and expression and it explores how the translator comprehensively considers the relationship of different modes to make subtitle translation of the tenth season of The Big Bang Theory.
