西北五省人口城镇化对产业结构升级效应分析

Analysis of the Effect of Population Urbanization on the Upgrading of Industrial Structure in Five Northwest Provinces

文章选取2000—2015年西北五省地区面板数据为研究样本,采用个体固定效应模型,验证了人口城镇化对产业结构升级的作用。结果表明,人口城镇化对西北五省的产业结构升级具有积极的正向作用,但随着外国直接投资等控制变量的加入,发现与其他对产业结构升级产生影响的变量相比,人口城镇化的效应不再显著。因此,西北地区要利用好政策条件,加快基础配套设施建设,强化自身对人口的吸引力。

This paper selects the panel data of the five northwestern provinces from 2000 to 2015 as the research sample, and uses the individual fixed effect model to verify the effect of population urbanization on industrial structure upgrading. The results show that population urbanization has a positive positive effect on the upgrading of industrial structure in the five northwestern provinces. However, with the addition of control variables such as foreign direct investment, it is found that population urbanization is compared with other variables that have an impact on industrial structure upgrading. The effect is no longer significant. Therefore, the northwest region should make good use of policy conditions, accelerate the construction of infrastructure facilities, and strengthen its attractiveness to the population.
