摘要
通过基于需求分析的调查问卷,分析了东北某高校107名硕士毕业生的外语能力现状、对外语教学的满意度以及对母校外语教学的期望。结果表明:社会对毕业生英语能力的需求较高,但毕业生对自己的英语能力总体评价不高,习得最感吃力的技能为听力和口语,与用人单位和从事工作的需求存在较大差距。根据个人需求和社会需求两个维度的研究结果,提出非英语专业研究生英语课程应从课程设置、教学内容、教学模式、测评与师资等方面进行改革。
Through a questionnaire based on needs analysis,this paper analyzes the status quo,satisfaction with foreign language teaching and expectation for future foreign language instruction of 107 master graduates of a university in northeast China in the past five years.The results show that the society’s needs for master graduates’ English ability is rather high;the overall evaluation of their own English ability is not high,and the most laborious skills they acquire are listening and speaking,which lag far behind employers’ and job demands;compared with the low self-assessment of English ability,they are more satisfied with English learning at the master’s stage.Based on the research results from two dimensions of personal needs and social needs,it is proposed that the English curriculum for non-English major postgraduates should be reformed in terms of curriculum,teaching content,teaching mode,evaluation and teaching faculty.
