Effective Teacher Talk Strategies in College English Teaching in Application-oriented Universities——Taking Text Teaching as an Example

大学英语课堂中的教师话语在不同教学环节呈现不同的策略或特点。本文聚焦教师话语研究中关注较少却又极为重要的课文讲解话语,通过访谈和课堂观察等方法探讨了应用型本科院校大学英语课文教学中教师应当采取的有效话语策略,即显性与隐性教学语言相结合、发展学生的体验认知、优化师生话语比例以及提高讲解话语的灵活性与适切性。

The strategies or features of teacher talk in college English teaching vary according to different teaching stages. This article focuses on teachers’ talk in teaching texts, which is most important but less studied. Taking the methods of interview and observation, the article explores the teacher talk strategies that English teachers in application-oriented universities should adopt in text teaching: combine explicit instruction and implicit instruction, develop students’ experiential cognition, optimize the amount of discourse between teachers and students, and improve the flexibility and adaptability of teachers’ talk.
