从《申报》评论中看民国时期婚俗变化

The Changes of Marriage Customs in the Republic of China from the Comments in the Shun Pao

民国时期是婚姻习俗逐渐从传统走向现代的重要阶段,从《申报》的大量评论里可以看出当时婚姻习俗的变化:早婚、纳妾、闹新房等旧式婚姻陋俗遭到废除和抵制,婚礼节俭、集团结婚和新式择偶要求出现并得到大众提倡。民国时期的婚俗虽有了一定的发展进步,但有些婚姻陋俗仍然存在,传统婚俗的现代化并未在民国时期完全实现。

The period of the Republic of China is an important stage of the marriage customs from the traditional to the modern. From the numerous comments in the Shun Pao, we can see the changes of marriage customs at that time: old marriage customs such as early marriage, concubinage, and bridal chamber were abolished and boycotted. Frugal wedding, group marriage and new mate selection requirements had been promoted by the public. Although the marriage customs of the Republic of China had made certain development and progress, some undesirable customs still existed at that time, and the modernization of traditional marriage customs was not fully realized during the Republic of China.
