The Value, Predicament and Breakthrough: A Practical Exploration of Integrating the Revolutionary Spirit of Southwest Zhejiang into Tertiary-Level Ideological and Political Education

浙西南革命精神是一种地方红色文化,其内涵丰富,包含“忠诚使命、求是挺进、植根人民”。把浙西南革命精神融入高校思想政治教育有利于坚定大学生的理想信念、完善大学生的人格品质。当前对浙西南革命精神理解不够深入、大学生对浙西南革命精神的兴趣不高以及学校的制度保障不够有力等原因,浙西南革命精神融入高校思想政治教育存在现实困境。高校可以从强化理论自觉、健全保障机制、开发教育载体等路径推进浙西南革命精神的有效融入。

The revolutionary spirit of Southwest Zhejiang is a local red culture whose content includes: the sense of responsibility towards the nation and the people, the initiative and courage to win victory in difficult situations, and spirit of remaining undaunted in face of dangers and hardships. Integrating the spirit into tertiary-level ideological and political curriculum at local universities and colleges is conducive to strengthening the ideals and beliefs of students and perfecting their personality. However, the essence of the spirit has not yet been clearly defined and students' interest towards the spirit still has to be further engaged, and the system of guarantee needs to be further intensified. These situations give rise to the predicament for the integration of the spirit into the curriculum. It is thus proposed that colleges and universities promote the effective integration by strengthening theoretical consciousness, perfecting guarantee mechanisms and developing vehicles for the education.
