Building designing is an art which shapes and design space and sketch is the basis of all plastic arts. This paper elaborates the specific way which is using basic principles of holistic observations and holistic performances to shape images. It is set for students to master the sense of wholeness of image and establish a solid concept of sense of wholeness. And it is benefit for students to use the aesthetic rules which include the relations of primary and secondary, the relations of virtuality and reality in shaping image. It is a necessary way for students to lay a solid foundation of building designing and to lay a good groundwork for next design course.
