重庆图书馆进驻纽约联合国总部举办展览:带当年存托文献回家“省亲”

The Chongqing Library “Bringing Home” Early UN Documentaries through the Exhibition at the UN Headquarters in New York

70多年前,联合国为实现对全球公民的承诺,创建了“托存图书馆”制度,将成千上万的出版物和文件送往世界各地的托存图书馆,供各地的人们查阅联合国出版的各类文件。重庆是拥有这样一座托存图书馆的20个中国城市之一。4月25日,重庆图书馆与联合国达格·哈马舍尔德图书馆合作,将部分当年联合国成立初期送往重庆的书籍和出版物,带回到纽约联合国总部“省亲”。这场筹备了半年之久的展览展出了100多张图片,60多种联合国出版物,这些物品见证了联合国与中国的紧密合作与联系。

More than 70 years ago,the United Nations created “depository” system,and sent thousands of publications and documents to depository libraries around the world for people to view as a way to honor its commitment.Chongqing is one of the 20 Chinese cities with such a depository library.On April 25th,the Chongqing Library cooperated with the Dag Hammarskj?ld Library of the United Nations to bring home some of the books and publications,which dated back to the early days of the United Nations.The exhibition,which had been in preparation for half a year,exhibited more than 100 pictures and 60 UN publications that have witnessed the close cooperation and engagement between the United Nations and China.
