纪录片《人文永昌·行走古驿道》字幕汉英翻译实践研究

A Practical Study on Chinese-English Translation of the Subtitles of Yongchang·Cultural Treks along Ancient Road

《人文永昌·行走古驿道》是一部由云南省保山市隆阳区广播电视新闻中心和保山学院等单位共同打造的50 集大型人文纪录片;该片以“永昌古驿道”为主线,向观众全面呈现了永昌(今保山)的历史文化、风土人情、地貌景观、民间故事、神话传说和社会现状等内容;结合该片汉译英翻译实践,分析总结历史文化类纪录片汉译英的部分重点和难点,并提出相应的翻译建议,旨在提高翻译质量,促进国产纪录片对外推广。

Yongchang?Cultural Treks along Ancient Road is a 50-episode humanistic documentary, which is jointly built by the Radio and Television News Center of Longyang District and Baoshan University. Taking “Yongchang Ancient Post Road”as the main line, the documentary presents the historical culture, local customs, geomorphological landscape, folk stories, mythology and legends, and social status of Yongchang (Baoshan) in an all-round way to the audience. Based on the Chinese-English translation of the documentary, the author analyzes and summarizes some of the key points and difficulties in the Chinese-English translation of historical and cultural documentaries, and puts forward corresponding translation suggestions in order to improve the quality of translation and enhance the promotion of domestic documentaries to the outside world.
