Victo Ngai Chuen Ching is a Los Angeles-based illustrator from China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. She was a Forbes 30 Under 30 (Art and Style) honoree in 2014.Ngai was born in Maoming, a city in South China's Guangdong Province, in 1988. She grew up in Hong Kong, until she was 18. Her parents still live there. She was exposed to Chinese art and crafts, such as nianhua (New Year paintings), gongbihua (fine brushwork), and lianhuanhua (comic books), at a young age.
