Objective To investigate the clinical therapeutic effect of targeted therapy combined with chemotherapy in patients with brain tumors. Methods Fifty patients with brain tumors admitted in our hospital from October 2016 to October 2018 were enrolled in the study. They were randomly divided into observation group(n=25) and control group(n=25). The observation group was given targeted therapy combined with chemotherapy, and the control group was given only chemotherapy. The total effective rate of treatment, quality of life improvement and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The clinical effective rate of the observation group was 72.0%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group(44.0%)(P<0.05). The improvement rate of quality of life in the observation group was 76.0%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group(48.0%)(P<0.05). The incidence of stomatitis, nausea and vomiting, alopecia, anemia, leukopenia, thrombocytopenia, and abnormal liver function in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Targeted therapy combined with chemotherapy in the treatment of brain tumor patients has significant curative effect, and can reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, with high safety, which is worthy of promotion.
