编织作为人类最古老的手工艺之一,其工艺性与艺术性的特征较明显。在消费主义的风潮的影响下,编织物的内容充满了平面性和重复性。“慢设计”作为当前一种新的设计理念出现,是对当今较为浮躁生产消费模式的一种“反思行为”,它揭示了日常生活中容易错过的、舍弃的或被遗忘的宝贵经验、相关材料,工艺和匠人。

Hand weaving, one of the oldest handicrafts of mankind, has strong workmanship and artistry features. However, influenced by consumerism, woven products are flat and repetitive nowadays.“Slow Design” is an emerging design philosophy in response to the chaotic models of production and consumption. It reveals experience, materials, techniques and weaving artists which are easily missed, ignored or forgotten in our daily life.
