Rediscovering Universities Through Entrepreneurial Thinking

研究型大学奠基于公共科学的规范和学院科学的体制。在研究型范式下,大学的科学研究偏向基础,研究的目的主要在于发现原理或法则,成果的呈现主要以论著的形式在科学共同体和学科共同体内部分享。为社会服务主要体现在为经济社会发展提供学术资源,至于这些资源怎么使用,是否会有人使用,则不是大学考虑的事。在创新驱动发展的新时代,研究型大学赖以获得合法性的科学逻辑面临市场逻辑的挑战。在创新创业使命的驱动下,随着市场逻辑在经济社会发展中重要作用的彰显,只有以创业思维重新发现大学,并基于创新创业的新范式重新界定学术研究的思维与行动,现代大学才能在新的时代铸就新的辉煌。

In a research university,which bases itself on normalized public sciences and institutionalized academic sciences,scientific research highlights fundamental research and aims at discovering theories or principles,and the research outcomes are presented with publications and shared within the science or discipline community. The social service offered by a research university is mainly reflected in the academic resources for social and economic development,but how to use these academic resources and whether they come into use are not considered by the research university. In the new era when development is driven by innovations,the scientifically-logical legality of a research university is facing challenges from the market. With the motivation by the missions of innovation and entrepreneurship,along with the significant role of the market in social and economic development,a modern university can achieve new accomplishments in the new era only by rediscovering itself from an entrepreneurial perspective and redefining the thinking and actions of academic research based on the new paradigms of innovation and entrepreneurship.
