Research on the Intercultural Communication Competence in the Context of English as Lingua Franca

英语作为国际通用语,发挥着越来越重要的角色,逐步发展成为多元文化交流的载体。跨文化交际能力的性质、交际目的和交际内容都发生了变化。因此,大学英语教学,尤其在跨文化交际能力培养的过程中,应更加注重提升学生对多元文化的敏感度和宽容度。同时,提高流利表达本土文化的能力。

English,as a lingua franca,plays an increasing role in communication and becomes a carrier of multicultural communication.Under such circumstance,intercultural communication competence has been changed from the aspects of its nature,objective and content.Therefore,in the process of college English teaching,intercultural communication competence,in particular,Chinese college students’ sensitivity and tolerance to multicultural should be enhanced.Meanwhile,the ability of expressing Chinese culture should be improved among Chinese college students.
