An Interpretation on “a New Era of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics”——In view of the Relationship among the New Era, New Period and Primary Stage of Socialism

习近平总书记在党的十九大上作出一个重大的政治判断:中国特色社会主义进入了新时代。新时代以党的十八大的召开作为开始的标志,以中华民族伟大复兴中国梦的实现作为结束的标志。这个新时代是改革开放和社会主义现代化建设新时期的一个发展和成熟阶段,它同新时期一样仍然处于社会主义初级阶段。准确地理解新时代,还必须要处理好新的阶段之“变”与社会主义初级阶段之“不变”、新的主要矛盾之“变”与社会主义初级阶段之“不变”两对关系。

Party general secretary Xi Jinping made a significant political judgement in the work report at the 19 th CPC National Congress:China has entered a new era with the starting mark of 18 th CPC National Congress,and an end mark of realization of the Chinese Dream.The new era is the period of development,and sophistication of the reform and opening to the outside world policy,and the Era of socialist construction.It is still in the primary stage of socialism with the new period.To understand the new era accurately,the relationship between the“change”in the new period and the“invariant”in the primary stage of socialism,the“change”in the new main contradiction and the“invariant”in the primary stage of socialism should be dealt with well.
