摘要
认知语言学研究表明,隐喻不仅仅是一种修辞手段,更是一种人类的认识方式,它沉淀于人类的语言中。而词汇是构成语言的基础,词汇中自然也存在着隐喻。因此,在英语词汇习得的过程中,如果能将隐喻的认知性理论运用于英语教学实践,就可以帮助英语学习者更高效地习得新的词汇,更准确地理解和运用词汇。本文应用隐喻理论对英语词汇进行分类解析,并提出了一些隐喻词汇的教学建议。
Cognitive linguistics suggest that metaphor is not only a rhetorical means,is a way of human cognition,it precipitated in human language.Vocabulary is the basis of a language,so there is also a metaphor in the vocabulary.Therefore,in the process of second language vocabulary acquisition,if the cognitive theory of metaphor can be applied in teaching which teach English as a foreign language,it can help English learners acquire new vocabulary more efficiently,and use the English wordsmore accurately.This paper applies metaphorical theory to categorize English words,and puts forward some suggestions for the teaching of metaphorical words.
