HUA Baojin’s Eight Methods in Differentiation and Treatment of Cough Caused by Lung Cancer

Cough is the most common symptom of lung cancer,which seriously affects the life quality of patients. Professor HUA Baojin believes that the tumor is a systemic disease,and the clinical pathological changes are most common in "deficiency,blood stasis,phlegm,toxin and dampness". HUA Baojin’s experience in treating cough caused by lung cancer is summarized into eight methods:invigorating lung and qi,clearing heat and purifying lung,warming lung and resolving fluid retention,engendering liquid with sweet and cold drugs,purging lung and promoting urination,promoting mutual generation between metal and water,clearing liver and purging fire,activating spleen and resolving dampness.
