The Revival of Traditional Paper-cut Technique in a New Era

中国民间剪纸技艺历经了一千多年的发展,至明清之际达到辉煌,是民间技艺中一项极具艺术价值和寄托文化精神的独立存在。一百多年来,剪纸技艺的命运随着中国社会的伟大变革而沉浮,并在新的世纪迎来了从农耕文明产物转向时代新需求的再生生机。本文基于当下时代背景,试图以“传承”的视角挖掘针对优秀民间文化资源的承继潜力,并从“再生”的立场探索其在新时代的突破及可持续机制,从而为这一古老的手工技艺寻找新生态下转危为安的途径。

After the development in more than one thousand years, Chinese folk paper-cut technique had achieved the brilliant prosperity in the Ming and Qing dynasties and became an independent folk skill of great artistic value and cultural spirit. The fote of paper-cut technique was always changing following the grand reform of Chinese society in the past one hundred years. In the new century, the paper-cut technique has been revitalized in the aiming from the product of agricultural civilization to the new demand of the times. Based on the contemporary background, the paper tries to make an exploration of the potential for promoting the excellent folk culture resources from the perspective of "cultural continuity" as well as the breakthrough and sustainable mechanism in a new era from the standpoint of "revival" so as co find an approach to a better future to avert the past crisis for the ancient handicraft in the new environment.
