Intervention of Design in the Toilet Revolution

设计介入厕所革命是以"人"为中心来洞察问题、定义边界、研究限定与整合创新。本文阐述了厕所设计的核心目标与设计原则,并借助清华大学美术学院协同创新生态设计中心(CIED)的实践案例,系统介绍厕所设计的理念、流程与方法,探索设计、技术与商业的协同创新路径,最终推动厕所革命的可持续发展。

The intervention of design in the Toilet Revolution is to discover problems based on human-centered research, define the objective, research the limitations and integrate innovations. This paper explains the core objectives and design principles of toilet design, and uses the practical cases of CIED of the Academy of Arts & Design, at Tsinghua University to systematically introduce the concept, process and method of toilet design, and further explore the collaborative innovation method of design, technology and business. On the basis of research through design, the CIED explores an integrated method to promote the sustainable development of the Toilet Revolution.
