Professor Xiao Chengcong′s Medical Thoughts and Features in Treating Pre-menstrual Syndrome

经前期综合征发病机制为肝血不足,肝阳上亢;肝失疏泄,气滞血瘀;肝郁乘脾,脾虚湿停;肝肾同源,阴阳俱虚。治疗上肖承悰教授立足于肝脏,兼顾脾、肾二脏,以养血调肝、健脾补肾、行气止痛为主要治疗法则,以"未病先防,已病防传"为基本思想,其基础方经前安宁汤中以养血柔肝为主,兼顾肝、肾二脏,临床中再根据症状加减,效果颇佳。

The pathogenesis of pre-menstrual syndrome is Liver blood deficiency,Liver Yang sputum;Liver Qi stagnation,Qi stagnation and blood stasis;Liver Qi overcome Spleen,Spleen deficiency and Phlegm stagnation;Liver and Kidney being homologous,Yin and Yang deficiency.In the treatment of the syndrome,Professor Xiao Chengcong focuses on the Liver,taking into account of the Spleen and Kidney,with nourishing the blood,regulating the Liver,tonifying Spleen and kidney as well as motivating Qi to stop pain as the main medical principle.At the same time,the basic idea in treatment is treatment before the disease and prevention the progress of the disease afterwards.The basic prescription is Jingqian Anning Decoction,which mainly functions to nourish the blood and soften the Liver,taking into account the Liver and Kidney.In clinical practices,modified prescriptions are commonly used according to the symptoms and the treatment effect is quite good.
