Project cost refers to the total cost of engineering projects from design, bidding, construction to completion. The project cost covers a wide range, including municipal engineering cost, housing construction cost, water conservancy project cost, road and bridge project cost and many other aspects. Affected by design factors, bidding factors, owner units, and completion settlement in the construction process of the construction project, the project cost is dynamic and changes at all times. This paper will elaborate on the factors affecting project cost in different construction projects from four aspects: municipal engineering cost, housing construction cost, water conservancy project cost, road and bridge project cost, and discuss relevant effective countermeasures.
