A Brief Analysis of Time Trauma in The Winter’s Tale and Between Time

莎翁《冬天的故事》和珍妮特·温特森据其改写的小说《时间之间》都关乎时间的创伤性。莎翁嵌入16年的间隔,创伤带来的后果达到高峰。《时间之间》的叙述者担任时间角色,不断变换时间和空间环境,瓦解了时间的流变性,造成创伤。《冬天的故事》试图借奇迹和宽恕治愈创伤,而《时间之间》借宽恕和“下一代不会犯同样的错误”的信仰获得复原。

Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale and Janet Winterson’s Between Time adapted from the former both concern about trauma of time. Shakespeare makes the consequences of trauma achieve the peak by inserting 16 year time intervals. The narrator of Between Time plays the role of the time, disintegrates the rheology of time, and causes trauma of times by constantly changing the time and space environment. The Winter’s Tale seeks to heal trauma through miracles and forgiveness, while Between Time restores trauma through forgiveness and the belief that “the next generation will not make the same mistake”.
