Performance of Anode Catalysts for Direct Alcohol Fuel Cells

摘要 应用单辊甩带的方法制备了CuZrAlY非晶条带催化电极,采用扫描电镜(SEM)以及X射线衍射(XRD)对不同样品进行表征,通过循环伏安曲线(CV)及计时电流曲线(CA)研究催化剂在甲醇溶液中的催化氧化性能,同时研究了酸腐蚀液浓度、腐蚀时间以及腐蚀形貌对催化剂性能的影响.结果表明,未经酸腐蚀的非晶条带对甲醇不具有催化氧化作用,只有经过酸腐蚀的非晶条带才可用作直接醇类燃料电池阳极催化剂.腐蚀液腐蚀后的条带表面会出现不同程度的腐蚀坑,腐蚀坑的形貌随腐蚀参数的变化而改变. CuZrAlY amorphous ribbon catalyst electrode was prepared by single roll tape casting. Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) were used to characterize the catalysts. Cyclic voltammetry(CV) curves and chronoamperometry(CA) curves were used to study the catalytic performance of the catalysts in methanol solution. The effects of acid etching solution concentration, corrosion time and corrosion morphology on the performance of the catalysts were also studied. The results show that the amorphous strips without acid corrosion have no catalytic oxidation effect on methanol, only amorphous ribbons with acid corrosion can be used as anode catalysts for direct alcohol fuel cells. Pits will appear on the surface of the strip after corrosion, and the morphology of the pits will change with the corrosion parameters.
