This paper analyzes the passive and vigorous characteristics of the Third Front Construction in terms of its motivation, focus and the historical context. It reconstructs the destructiveness brought about by historical coincidence to the Third Front Construction, which excavates the tragic core of the spirit for Third Front Construction.It is a possible way to innovate Panzhihua’s Third Front narration and expounds the tragic value of its spirit by centering around the value crisis confronting the construction of Third Front culture.
