电力科技英语具有科技英语的共性特点,在词汇、语言和语句风格上也有其特殊性和个性化特征。由于中西方文化、思维方式和表达习惯的不同,在翻译过程中容易在关键词、思维习惯和语句结构3个方面出现问题。本文对电力科技英语翻译过程中经常出现的问题进行归纳和分析,并提出不同文体的翻译技巧。

Sci-tech English of electric power has its own characteristics in vocabulary, language and sentence style despite. Due to differences of culture, ways of thinking and expression between China and Western countries, there are three problems that are easy to be neglected in the process of translation: keywords, habits of mind and sentence structure. In view of writings of power technology papers and power technology news, this paper summarizes common problems of sci-tech English translation of electric power, and puts forward English translation skills of different types of writing.
