人文价值:一流大学治理的新取向——香港科技大学集体访谈录

Humanistic Value:New Orientation of First-Class University Governance——Collective Interviews with Leaders and Experts in HKUST

2018年12月3日,"高校内部治理体系创新的理论与实践研究"课题组对香港科技大学高层领导和高教研究专家进行了访谈。通过访谈发现:创校者的民族情怀和理想主义为香港科技大学种下了注重"人文价值"的基因;理性统率感性、刚性服务人性是香港科技大学治理之魂;分权共治、治理体系服务于目标定位是香港科技大学治理之形,其实质都是服务于学者的学术自由、服务于"人"的价值;竞争带来质量和效益是香港科技大学治理之要。以人文价值为取向,不失为当下"双一流"大学建设的一种借鉴。

On December 3,2018,the research group on the theory and practice of innovation of internal governance system in universities conducted interviews with senior leaders and research experts of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology(HKUST).Key findings are summarized as follows:the national sentiment and idealism of the founders of the university have planted a gene that cherishes "humanistic value" for HKUST;reason presiding over sensibility and rigidity serving humanity are the soul of the governance of HKUST;the forms of the governance of HKUST include decentralization & co-governance and governance system serving orientation,whose essence lies in serving the academic freedom of scholars and the value of "people";competition brings quality and benefits to the governance of HKUST.The experience of HKUST in taking humanistic value as its orientation may provide references for the current construction of "double first-class" universities in China's Mainland.
