This paper briefly introduces the overall development of higher vocational education in Jiangsu Province, and points out the existing problems and deficiencies faced with Jiangsu higher vocational education. It puts forward that more efforts should be spent on institutional innovation, student cultivation as well as quality and integrated improvement with distinctive characteristics so as to lay a solid foundation for sustained development.
