Librarians are important human resources in libraries. Librarians professional quality plays a decisive role in library services. Taking the professional competition of Jiangsu Public Library as an example, this paper makes an in-depth analysis on the content, organization, scale, participation and influence of the competition, reveals its characteristics and functions, and provides a useful way to improve the professional accomplishment of librarians.
