In order to promote nationwide reading, exert the strength of folk reading organizations, and further give play to the leading role of public libraries in promoting nationwide reading, Guangzhou Library initiated the construction of Guangzhou Reading Union. This paper expounds in detail the background of the construction of Guangzhou Reading Union, the establishment and implementation of the platform project, as well as the experience and shortcomings, in order to provide a reference path for the public library to unite folk reading organizations to promote nationwide reading.
