从性别关系角度出发,以康奈尔多元男性气质理论中的支配性及从属性男性气质为主要理论依据,分析《欲望号街车》中三个主要男性人物的男性气质,揭示当时社会中的各种男性群体和他们所体现的男性气质以及与女性的关系,试图阐明和探究田纳西·威廉斯的男性气质观及其对支配型男性的批判和对从属型男性以及女性的同情,并揭示男性气质的可建构性。

From the perspective of gender relations, taking the dominance of Cornell’s multiple masculinity theory and the masculine traits as the main theoretical basis, this paper analyzes the masculinity of the three main male characters in A Streetcar Named Desire, revealing various male groups and their masculinity and relationship with women in the society at that time, trying to clarify and explore Tennessee Williams'masculinity and its critique of dominant males and sympathy for subordinate males and females. The paper also reveals the constructability of masculinity.
