摘要
教育的“正确”之路通过探析教育与社会之间深层联结,肯定了教育在改变社会中所发挥的作用.迈克尔阿普尔指出教育对社会的改变有好有坏,而好与坏的标准则取决于判断者的立场.站在受压迫的群众一边的阿普尔出于对底层人们艰辛生活的“愤怒”以及美国社会右转趋势的担忧,提出要在学习右派保守主义联盟的过程中扩大自身力量,从而中断右派.批判教育者们不能再停留于创造“最前卫”的话语,而是要积极参与到中断右派的具体实践中,通过教育去改变社会,使之成为一个建立在公平之上具有“厚民主”特征的社会.在阿普尔所期望重建的民主社会中,教育对不同阶级、贫富、性别和种族的人都是平等的,与此同时,教育的平等性与美国社会的“厚民主”也会在互动中不断强化.
Due to the exploration of the connection between education and society,“Educating the ‘Right’ Way” affirmed that education can change society. Michael W. Apple pointed out changes caused by education have two different directions, and the standards to judge these changes are depended on people’s position. Because of the indignation for people’s hard life at the bottom of society and the anxious for the rightward turn tendency in the United States, Apple, the person who stands for the oppressed, suggested that in order to interrupt the right, we need to learn from the conservative coalition. Scholars in the field of critical pedagogy have to take an active part in the practice of interrupt the right, rather than just creating the “advanced” words. The society that changed by education has the character of “thick democracy”, and that is what kind of society Apple wants to rebuild. In the reconstructed democratic society, education is equal to everyone no matter what strata, poverty, gender and race they are. As the same time, the equality of education and the “thick democracy” of American society can enrich each other.
