多模态元话语的语法化研究

A Study on the Grammaticalization of Multimodal Metadiscourse

多模态元话语的形成经历了语法化过程。以美国当代英语语料库(COCA)及北京大学语料库(BCC)为语料来源,确定语料中的多模态元话语并从历时及共时层面对其进行详细分析。研究发现,多模态元话语经历了语法化演变,即其是由表达概念意义的符号逐步虚化为表功能意义的符号,进一步探明多模态元话语的虚化机制,其中包括隐喻、强化、泛化、相邻句位、重新分析与类推、转喻、和谐及推理等。

The formation of multimodal metadiscourse has gone through the process of grammaticalization.Taking the American Contemporary English Corpus(COCA)and Peking University Corpus(BCC)as the source of corpus,the multimodal meta- discourse in the corpus is defined and analyzed from the diachronic and synchronic levels.The results show that the multimodal metadiscourse has undergone the evolution of grammaticalization,that is,the symbol of the conceptual meaning is gradually falsified into the functional meaning,furthermore,the article discovers the evolving mechanism of the multimodal metadiscourse,which includes metaphor,reinforcement,generalization,adjacent context,reanalysis and analogy,metonymy,harmony and reasoning.
