吴文英作为宋代比较善于写题画词的作家之一,根据所题作品的内容的不同,他的题画词可分为景物类题画词、人物类题画词和题赠词三种类型。他的题画词有着鲜明的艺术特色,他常常以画作真,实现"真"与"画"的反复叠加;他咏物但不被物所拘束;他睹画生情,常借助对图画的描写以抒发自己绵缈的情思,并且惯于以景结情,在画情交融中极尽画境之幽远。

Wu Wenying, as one of the writers in the Song Dynasty, is more good at writing and drawing words. According to the content of the works, his topic painting words can be divided into three types: landscape topic painting words, character title painting words and topic giveaway words. His title words have distinct artistic characteristics, he often took the painting as truth, to achieve the "truth" and "painting" repeatedly superimposed;he chanted things but not bound by things;he saw the feelings of the painting, often with the help of the description of the picture to express their ethereal feelings, and used to the scene, in the painting of the blend of landscape extremely distant.
