建筑设计在近一个世纪之内发生了翻天覆地的变化,由注重外部形式转向为注重内部空间。当空间成为建筑的主角并成为建筑学本质的背景下,家具的空间意义则逐渐凸显出来。家具已经不单单是在建筑完成后再置入的功能物品,而是作为建筑设计的一部分和建筑构件一同实现内部空间的组织。通过梳理建筑设计各时期的脉络总结出家具是如何被归纳于建筑设计的内容之中,并通过阐述路斯、赖特和海杜克在进行建筑设计时如何进行家具设置以及分析其空间作用,得出家具对于建筑空间的围合与连续作用。并最终以当代实践说明家具的空间意义。

Over the past century architectural design has undergone radical changes, with its focus shifting from external form to internal space. As space begins to play a leading role and becomes the essence of architecture, the space significance of furniture is gradually highlighted. Furniture is not just functional items re-placed after the completion of the building, but as a part of the architectural design along with the building elements to form the structure of the internal space. By combing the history of architectural design in different periods, we summarize how furniture were included in the contents of architectural design, and by referring to the furniture settings by Loos, Wright and Hejduk during their architectural design, we analyze their space meanings, conclude that furniture has an enclosing or continuing function to architectural space, and finally we reveal the space significance of furniture based on contemporary practice.
