During three stays in Morocco, as an officer of military engineering between 1912 and 1933, Desire Sic made more than 2,000 high-quality photographs. The photographers grandson, Colin Miege, a former high-ranking official at the French Ministry of the Interior, has made a point of promoting this family heritage and making it available to the Moroccan public. The book is prefaced by Jamaa Baida, historian and Director of the Archives du Maroc since 2011.
