Digital optical repeater provides a new weak-field coverage solution for the GSM-R system’.As the first railway with CTCS Level 3 train control system that adopts digital optical repeater,the application of digital optical repeater during the opening period of Beijing-Harbin high speed railway attracts a lot of attention.Based on technical characteristics of the digital optical repeater and combined with the engineering case of Beijing-Harbin high-speed railway,several concerns needed to pay attention to the application of digital optical repeater in the high-speed railway with CTCS Level 3 train control system are discussed.
