Ideological Manipulation of the Translation of A History of Politics: Brief Analysis of Yan Fu’s “Unconventional” Translation Strategy

从意识形态操控理论的视角,探讨意识形态对严复文学翻译理念及实践的操控。以严复在《社会通诠》中使用的“非正法”翻译策略,即删改、增补、注释等为切入点,进行文本对读和深挖,以进一步了解严复译著及其翻译思想对中国社会所带来的影响。

From the perspective of ideological manipulation theory,this paper explores the ideological manipulation of Yan Fu’s literary translation theory and practice.In order to further understand the impact of Yan Fu’s translation and his translation thoughts on Chinese society,this paper takes the“unconventional”translation strategy used by Yan Fu in social interpretation as the breakthrough point,i.e.deletion,addition and annotation.
