Xiamen, a city that is born of the sea, and thrived because of the harbor.‘Lutou' closely links the life of urban residents with the sea ond trade. She witnessed the rise and fall of Xiamen shipping ond the development of the city. Starting from the historical research of the ancient “Loutou” distributed location, the article explores the evolution of street system in Xiamen Yingping district. Through historical norrcitives and walking experiences of typical cases, it discusses street space form.
