In the process of the development of modern society, the development of wireless sensor networks has become more and more mature, which has many advantages, such as low cost, low power consumption, ad hoc networks and so on. Therefore, its application in environmental monitoring can play a very good effect. This paper first expounds the application value of wireless sensor networks in environmental monitoring, then analyses the application of wireless sensor networks in natural and military environment monitoring, and finally looks forward to the development prospects of wireless sensor networks for reference.
