Editor's note : About a hundred years ago, a large number of progress young Chinese with great ambitions went to France for Work-Study programs to introduce French science and arts to China, so as to save the nation and the people. Among them, a generation of Chinese artists studying in France created splendid works which had played an essential role in the history of Chinese arts in the 20th century.
