Methodological Synergy of Critical Discourse Analysis and Corpus Linguistics: Illustrated by Construction of Female Image in the News about Rights Protection

语料库语言学相关方法能更有效地应用于批评性话语分析。文章分析了两者协同使用的理论背景,提出了研究路径,并在维权新闻主体形象话语构建的研究中实践运用;重点讨论维权新闻中的女性形象构建,发现其形象的多面性,并揭示了相关的政治、社会、文化等因素。最后通过此实证研究的过程,反思了批评性话语分析和语料库语言学方法协同使用路径的优点和争议点。

Methods normally associated with corpus linguistics can be effectively used by critical discourse analysts. This paper analyzes the theoretical background for adopting corpus methods in critical discourse analysis properly, and suggests a research approach which is used in the study of the discursive construction of the image in rights protection news. The multifaceted female images in the news about rights protection are focused on. And the political, social and cultural factors associated with these images are revealed. After the practical application of this research approach, its advantages and controversial points are pointed out.
