从阐释学的角度看“少即是多”理论发展

ON THE DEVELOPMENT OF “LESS IS MORE”:A HERMENEUTIC APPROACH

以密斯凡德罗提出的“少即是多”为例,论证设计理论处在不断发展的状态,且对特定的设计视野具有特定的指导意义,从而论证设计史的意义所在。运用阐释学理论对密斯凡德罗提出的“少即是多”在现代主义设计、绿色设计和服务设计三个不同设计视野下的发展进行论证。“少即是多”在不同的设计视野下有不同程度的发展,作为设计师有学习了解设计史的必要性,了解理论来源和脉络,从而更好把握和运用设计理论,设计出更为完善的产品和系统。设计史的重要性不在于记住历史事件,而是将设计理论放在特定历史视野下去探寻它们的可能性发展。

Using “Less is More” argues that design theories are developing continually and having specific different possibly outcomes under different design views to understand the meaning of design history. Using hermeneutics theory to explore the development of Mies Van Der Rohe’s “Less is More” in three different design views,modernism,green design and service design.“Less is More” has different in different design view. In order to truly understand design theories and handle design processes better,it is necessary for designers to learn design history,seek the meaning of theories in specific historical views and explore possible developments. The importance of design history is not about letting people put historical information into the brain,but seeking the meaning of design theories under specific historical views to explore the possibilities of their development.
