Critique of Critical Rationality: Flection on the Enlightenment Rationality of France in the 18th Century

在学术界,一些学者主张中国的现代化必须经过启蒙思想的洗涤才能真正实现。启蒙思想固然取得了很大成绩,在全世界有很大的话语权,但作为一种外来文化,它有自身的问题和缺陷:它的无限权力欲、抽象性的理论和缺乏对至善的形而上理想的敬畏等;还有它如何与我们的文化传统相融洽,这些都是挑战。西方的启蒙真的是我们必须经历的文化必修课吗?在此借助对法国启蒙理性的反思尝试着回答这一问题。

In the academic world,some scholars advocate that China’s modernization can be realized with the introduction of enlightenment thought. Although the Enlightenment thought has made achievedments and has its discourse right in the world,as a foreign culture,it has its own problems and defects: its infinite power desire,abstract theory and lack of respect for the perfect metaphysical ideal and so on. It presents a challenge as to how it blends with our cultural traditions. Is the Western Enlightenment really a cultural compulsory course that we must experience? Through the reflection of the French enlightenment rationality,we try to answer this question.
