The defects such as pin-holes, sagging and bubbling in waterborne polyurethane coating applied on excavator were introduced. The causes of defects were analyzed from the aspects of painting environment, equipment, materials and management, and the measures were worked out. Through continuous improvement, the problems of prickly heat and foaming were solved.
