The railway construction has a heavy assignment and huge demand for funds in China. How to build more and better railways with the least investment is a subject that every railway builder should constantly explore and summarize. This paper analyses and discusses the main factors affecting railway construction and investment,such as industry standards,engineering measures,land expropriation and demolition,new environment and water conservation law,urban planning requirements and earthwork allocation,and puts forward corresponding solutions,which can provide reference for route selection,economic and technological analysis and comparison and engineering measures of similar railway projects.
