民国时期是地理志书编纂的又一高潮,地理总志的编纂也取得不小成绩。民国正处于时代大变革之际,对志书的编纂也要新的要求,总志的编纂体例、思想、方法等都发生了近代化变革,并且对此后方志编纂有深刻影响。

The period of the Republic of China ushered another climax in the compilation of annals of geography. And the compilation of general records of geography also made great achievements. The Republic of China was in the era of great changes,where new requirements were posed for the compilation of chronicles. Modern revolution was also seen in the styles,ideas,methods of the compilation of general records,which exerted a profound impact on the compilation of local chronicles afterwards.
