"Democratic Reform in Tibet 一 Sixty Years On," a white paper published by China's State Council Information Office, records changes in the social system in Tibet after six decades, taking into account the serfdom of Tibefs past history, and PRC efforts to develop Tibefs economy while protecting its environment, to support both ethnic equality and national unity, and to develop Tibet in the new era. The report concludes that these 60 years have converted Tibet into a beautiful home for Tibetans, and that Tibet's democratic reform has opened up bright prospects.
