Embroidery is a significant part of China's intangible cultural heritage, and in recognition of this, China's representative list of National Intangible Cultural Heritage includes the many forms of embroidery from the country's ethnic groups. Their embroidery is essential not only to their costumes and everyday objects but also adds meaning at minority folk activ让ies such as festivals and rituals.
